Area FCCLA members attend Region 11 meeting

November 29, 2017
PictureOn Tuesday, November 14, area FCCLA members (Family Career and Community Leaders of America, formerly Future Homemakers of America) attended the annual Missouri FCCLA Region 11 Meeting at Taylor Auditorium on the campus of Missouri Southern State University. The meeting began at 10 a.m. and ended around noon. Student leaders were reminded of upcoming FCCLA events and had the opportunity to listen to guest motivational speaker, Tom Krause. Krause presented a message on how everyone matters and can make a difference in the lives of others. During the event, Cheryl Bogardus, of Northeast Vernon County, and Connie Launius, of Lockwood, were recognized as honorary members, and Sharon Lawler, of Southwest, was recognized for distinguished service. Five-hundred sixty-three students and 37 advisers and guests from 25 southwest Missouri FCCLA chapters attended this meeting. Eighty-four Cassville FCCLA members from the middle and high school attended. They are pictured above.
