Arvest Bank awards Cassville teacher $500
November 27, 2019
Arvest Bank recently announced Nola Nickols, Cassville R-IV Parents as Teachers educator, as the winner of a $500 award given to teachers throughout the ARVEST four-state footprint. Nickols plans to spend the money she received on manipulatives to help children prepare for school. The manipulatives she plans to purchase would most benefit her four and five year old students. In addition to school age readiness, funds will also be spent on toddler creative hands-on materials.
"Our Parents As Teachers PAT program is so fortunate to have Nola leading our program and making those early learning connections," said Dr. Richard Asbill, superintendent at Cassville R-IV. "She is striving to help every future Wildcat be successful and she does that with her passion for children and education."
The Arvest initiative to honor educators was launched on Oct. 7. Nominations were accepted via the Arvest Bank Facebook page.
