Aurora man arrested for firing shots at other man

An Aurora man, Chad, Daniel Maggard, 35, was arrested this week after a shooting-related incident from October.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Maggard fired shots at another man, Roland Adams, at a home on Private Road 1197 in Aurora. The victim told Sergeant Kerry Headrick, of the Barry County Sheriff’s Department, that Maggard had fired a bullet from a rifle at him, and that the bullet had passed by his head.
After the victim ran, Maggard then allegedly fired a second shot while Adams tried to get back in his home.
Barry County Judge Robert Foulke signed a warrant for Maggard on November 3 related to the incident.
Maggard has since been arrested and is currently being held in the Barry County Jail in lieu of a $30,000 cash-only bond. He is charged with unlawful use of a weapon, a class B felony.
