Bald Eagle Viewing Open Houses Scheduled at Roaring River State Park
December 15, 2021
Join us Saturday, December 18, and Saturday, January 8, at the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center to watch for bald eagles along Roaring River.
When water sources freeze in the north, bald eagles migrate south to find food and water. With its constant flowing water and abundance of fish, what better place for an eagle to visit than Roaring River State Park?
Join us anytime between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., either day, or both days, to participate in eagle-themed activities. Bring your binoculars and spotting scopes to get a closer look at these magnificent birds.
This program is free and open to the public. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and bring water and snacks.
For more information, call the nature center at 417-847-3742.
The Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center is located at 12716 Farm Road 2239, Cassville.
