Barry County Route VV at Little Flat Creek north of McDowell is now open to traffic as of Thursday, December 6, at 3 p.m. The bridge was closed for a bridge replacement beginning in August.
The bridge over Little Flat Creek was replaced with a new structure. The road was closed beginning August 6 to allow contractor crews to tear down the old bridge and build a new span. The new bridge is 24 feet wide and cost approximately $836,000.
The primary contractor for the project was Hartman and Company, of Springfield.
