Cassville driver airlifted from Wheaton crash

A Cassville driver was seriously injured and flown by helicopter for injuries after a crash east of Wheaton on Tuesday night, July 17. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the single vehicle crash occurred around 8:20 p.m.
Junior W. Wilson, 70, of Cassville, was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Impala westbound on MO-86 about four miles east of Wheaton when he travelled off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
Wilson suffered serious injuries and was flown by helicopter to Mercy Hospital in Joplin for treatment.
He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The Impala was totaled and towed from the scene by West 60 Auto in Monett.
