Cassville man arrested after alleged Exeter break in

A Cassville man was arrested and charged after allegedly burglarizing a home to emotionally distress the victim. Robert U. Danley, 44, of Cassville, is charged with burglary in the first degree, assault in the third degree on a special victim, resisting arrest by fleeing causing substantial risk of injury or death, and property damage in the second degree.
According to the affidavits of probable cause by the Exeter Police Department, officers were dispatched to a residence on Washburn street around 3:37 a.m. on Wednesday, November 29. Danley allegedly entered the victim’s residence through a kitchen window after being told to stop contacting the victim.
Danley allegedly wanted to cause the victim emotional distress after being told not to contact her multiple times. When officers arrived, they reported that Danley refused to get into the law enforcement vehicle and spat on an officer as well as kicked him in the leg. Officers reported having to subdue Danley on the ground.
Danley is currently being held in the Barry County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 cash-only bond.
