Cassville man arrested for allegedly choking wife

September 14, 2016
Charlea Estes

A Cassville man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly choking his wife and pulling his four-year old out of a car. Anthony Frank Ramos, 30, of Cassville, was charged with domestic assault in the second degree.
According to affidavits of probable cause, Ramos was arrested after an incident on Monday, September 11, in which officers responded to a domestic assault. According to witness statements, Ramos, who appeared to be intoxicated, placed his hands around his wife’s neck and lifted her off the ground.          Then, the victim reported that Ramos grabbed their four year old child out of the car while the couple’s seven year old was yelling for him to stop.
When Ramos began to choke his wife again, two witness claimed to have to pull him off of her while he attempted to punch her. An officer saw marks on the victim’s neck and arm consistent with the claims.
