A Cassville man is being held in the Stone County Jail after being arrested on multiple charges of sex crimes against children.
Barry County Prosecuting Attorney Amy Boxx has charged Lloyd Eugene Bowen with four sex crimes against a victim under 14 years of age. If convicted on all charges, Bowen could be facing the rest of his life in prison.
According to court documents, Bowen is alleged to have abused his victim for a period of nine years, from 2008 to 2017, beginning when the victim was five-years-old.
In an interview with investigators, the victim detailed at least five instances where Bowen forced the victim to engage in sexual activity, several times while the victim was alone in their bedroom.
The court document indicates the abuse against the victim ended when they were 14-years-old.
Bowen was in the Stone County Jail on $50,000 bond. No court date for his next hearing was set as of press time.
