A Cassville man is in jail held on a $100,000 cash-only bond after being accused of sexual misconduct and sodomy of a child. Stephen Wayne Hensley, 29, of Cassville, was arrested and charged last week for the alleged assault.
According to affidavits of probable cause, Hensley was arrested after a child under the age of 12 was interviewed at the Child Advocacy Center in Monett. The girl told her mother that someone had put their private part in her mouth.
The girl was interviewed at the center on May 31 and told them that Hensley had put his privates in her mouth until she choked. She said it happened three times while her mother was at work.
Hensley is charged with endangering the welfare of a child until the age of 17 in the first degree, sexual misconduct with a child under the age of 15 and statutory rape of a person less than 12 years old. Hensley is currently being held in the Barry County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash-only bond.
