Cassville native displays first art exhibit at Holiday Island
October 31, 2018

Rachel Sheats, formerly of Cassville, currently is showing her first abstract art exhibit at the Cornerstone Bank of Holiday Island, Ark. Her showing consists of the abstract pours she has become known for.
She stated in her bio: “I began painting just a few years ago. I began with still-life floral and landscapes working with acrylics. Then I started hearing about pouring paint and watching all the abstract designs that were being created and I fell in love with this new design. The more I learned, the more I wanted to do, so one day I put a huge piece of plastic across my floor and made a mess. A mess that turned out to be a beautiful work of art. The more I tried, the more I learned, the better my work evolved.”
Sheats is a member of the Holiday Island Art Guild and has sold a number of her works through several local venues. Her next display will be at Peachtree Village’s Fall Arts & Crafts Show November 2 and 3.
