According to Dr. Richard Asbill, superintendent for the Cassville School District, there are currently two active positive cases of COVID-19 within the school system. Both are students, he indicated.
According to the dashboard on the school’s website, there are currently 46 students and/or staff members under school-related quarantine due to exposure to a positive case of COVID-19. That number is up from three, on September 28.
Asbill said he and school staff continue to work closely with the Barry County County Health Department to monitor the COVID-positive patients and trace contacts in order to quarantine those who have been close to positive cases.
“Our efforts are to maintain our wellness protocols,” Asbill said. “We continue to encourage everyone to focus on personal responsibility and daily wellness checks.”
