A public hearing for the setting of water and sewer rates in Cassville was opened at City Council’s November 9 meeting. Public Works director, David Brock, explained that staff recommendation was to approve a raise of three percent for sewer rates and a raise of two percent for water rates.
After no further comments, the public hearing was closed and council unanimously approved the raises in rates.
David Brock advised that the new fees would generate approximately $45,000 in revenue in 2022.
Customers should expect to see the increase on their January bill, says city clerk Jennifer Privett.
