Catch a falling star
August 12, 2020
Take a blanket out under the stars after midnight and before dawn to see the annual Perseid Meteor Shower, which can be viewed on warm summer nights in the northern hemisphere.
The brightest and best showers will take place through August 13, but lesser amounts of the space debris may be viewed later in the month as well.
Moon-free nights will make for better viewing after August 17, although the showers may be more limited.
