Celebrate Earth Day at Roaring River April 20

Join staff at Roaring River State Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 20, to celebrate Earth Day at the Ozark Chinquapin Nature Center.
The day will be filled with learning about protecting endangered species. Roaring River is home to several species of conservation concern. Come learn what staff do at the park, and how you can help these special plants and animals. This is a free event and open to the public.
The nature center will host a variety of organizations and activities. Crafts and activities throughout the day with help from the East Newton High School Service Club. Missouri Department of Conservation will be handing out free trees at the nature center all day. Other guests from the Ozark Chinquapin Foundation will be sharing information about how they help preserve species diversity in Missouri.
Roaring River State Park is located seven miles south of Cassville on Highway 112 in Barry County, in southwest Missouri. For more information about the event, contact the park office at (417) 847-2539.
