August 29, 2018
Over 120 people show up to the Central Crossing Senior Center’s celebration of 15 years in its permanent location in Shell Knob on August 4, 2018.
Honored guests were two of the original founders, Glenn Phillips and Dick Nierman. Glenn and Kathy Phillips moved away from the area and locals were happy to have them attend.
Volunteers were on hand to give tours of the building and explain what activities and services are offered at the center Monday through Friday. Additionally, the Table Rock-etts were on hand for a line dancing demonstration as were the local wood carvers demonstrating their craft.
Cake and punch were served over the course of the two-hour open house, and everyone enjoyed visiting with old friends and making some new friends. If you are a senior who is new to the area, visit the Central  Crossing Senior Center Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.  It is located at 20801 YY-15 in Shell Knob. For more information, call (417) 858-6952.
