Central Crossing Senior Center to host tree lighting

November 29, 2017
               The popular Lighting of the Tree and Star will kick off the Christmas Season in Shell Knob at the Central Crossing Senior Center on Friday, December 1.
               The entire community is invited and the event is full of family fun. Doors will open at 5 p.m. Shell Knob Elementary’s kindergarten through fifth grade students will present their Christmas Program. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to visit with the children during this event. They’ll be passing out stockings packed with goodies for all the kids.  
               Then, kids, young and not-so-young will be served soup, chili and cookies, provided jointly by Shell Knob Seniors, Inc., and Shell Knob Elementary School. Local talent will offer a program and, at 5:30 p.m., the tree and huge star overlooking the community will be lit.
               The Central Crossing Senior Center is located at 20801 YY-15 Rd in Shell Knob and  the community is invited to “get in the spirit of the season.”
