Purdy High School Student Council members have been hard at work, preparing for the district’s upcoming Christmas Spirit Week and Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas Coronation. Members decked the halls with festive snowflakes, twinkling lights and snowmen to reflect this year’s theme of “Winter Wonderland.” Christmas Spirit Week will be held Monday, December 13, through Friday, December 17, and include holiday-themed dress-up days, such as Pajama Day, Flannel and Christmas Socks Day, Christmas Sweater Day and more. New this year will be the popular social media trend, Anything but a Backpack Day. Purdy students in grades PK through 12 are invited and encouraged to participate in each day’s activity. A full list can be found on the district Facebook page. Christmas Spirit Week will culminate in the crowning of the 2021 Purdy High School Mr. and Miss Merry Christmas. The coronation ceremony will be held between JV and Varsity basketball games, the first of which begins at 6 PM on Friday, December 17.
