According to Larry Daniels, president of the Cassville Cruisers, a special 10th anniversary cruise-in is planned for Saturday night, September 12, beginning at 5 p.m. and running until dusk.
“There will be no admission charge for those who attend, and no registration fee for those who bring their cars in,” Daniels said. “Everything’s free except any food or beverages you buy from food vendors.”
Daniels said they’re expecting over 100 autos to turn up for this event.
“We generally have car owners and auto clubs show up from all over the four-state area,” he said.
“We’ll have live music from the Eddie Valen Band, a popular group who performs everybody’s favorite classic rock & roll,” he added. “The band will perform all evening, beginning at 5 p.m.”
According to Daniels, in addition to cars and music, there will be lots of door prizes given away, and a chance for a lucky winner to claim a 50/50 pot.
“We’re hoping to get a face-painter lined up, too,” Daniels said. “If anybody wants to volunteer, they can call me at 417-846-7306.”
The 10th Anniversary Cruise-In will be held on the grounds of the Barry County Museum at 15858 State Highway 76, Cassville.
“The museum will be open for people to use their facilities or cool off for a minute, if need be,” Daneils said.
