Deputies receive commendations

According to a press release from the Barry County Sheriff’s Office, on August 23, Deputy Clinton Bray and Deputy Jeremiah Anderson were dispatched to a residence because a subject had been shot. Upon arrival, they located the victim, and began administering first aid while gathering necessary information for an investigation.
Sheriff Boyd believes the quick actions of the deputies, including the placement of chest seals on the gun shot victim, resulted in the saving of the individual’s life.
“Deputies Bray and Anderson took an oath to protect and serve the citizens of Barry County,” stated the Letters of Commendation the deputies received from the Sheriff’s Office in response to their life-saving actions.
“They’ve greatly honored the badges and patches on their uniforms,” the Letters, signed by Sheriff Boyd, Major Angela Cole and Sergeant Anthony Larson, stated.
