Donation Drive to be held at Barry County Brawl
October 19, 2022

The 9th annual Barry County Brawl between the Cassville Wildcats and the Monett Cubs will be held this Friday at Burl Fowler Stadium, at 7 p.m., in Monett.
Wildcat and Cub fans alike may recall last year when Monett Superintendent, Dr. Drake, challenged Cassville Superintendent, Dr. Johnson, to a punt, pass and kick contest during this year's game. Well, the time has come, and the two superintendents will face off at half-time.
In addition to the friendly superintendent competition, the schools have joined forces to hold a donation drive during Friday night's battle for the coveted trophy. Fans from both schools are encouraged to bring hygiene items to be donated in support of children in Barry County.
Donated items will be accepted at either gate at Burl Fowler Stadium. Items in need during this year's drive include: shampoo and conditioner, soap bar/body wash, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, toothpaste, toothbrushes, dry shampoo, washcloths, face cleaning wipes, kids undergarments, socks, summer shirts, summer shoes, winter shirts and winter shoes.
Be sure to enter your name into the drawing when dropping off your donations. Both the Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce and the Monett Chamber will have a drawing the week of October 24 where four names will be drawn to win $50 in either Cassville Cash or Monett Chamber bucks.
