A DWI charge was filed for a crash in Cassville last week. According to detective Danny Boyd, with the Cassville Police Department, the vehicle crashed on Business 37 and struck a parked car on Tuesday, March 3.

The crash involved a 2001 Ford Explorer, which was travelling southbound on Business 37. The vehicle was driven by 17-year-old Matthew Paul Oldnettle, of Wheaton. The Escape crossed the center line, travelled off the left side of the road, struck a telephone pole and then hit a parked car in the Clark Center parking lot.

Oldnettle suffered minor injuries but refused medical treatment at the scene.

Boyd said Oldnettle is charged with driving while intoxicated.
