Eagle Rock man in jail after allegedly shooting at, grazing victim

An Eagle Rock man is in custody after allegedly shooting at another man and grazing his arm. The incident was reported to have taken place in the Eagle Rock Post Office parking lot late Wednesday night last week. Michael S. Crosby, Jr., 41, of Eagle Rock, is facing five charges from the incident.
According to the affidavits of probable cause by Barry County Sheriff's deputy Kayla Strahley, she was dispatched to the Eagle Rock Post Office on State Highway 86 around 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4. The initial call came in from an uninvolved party who lived across from the post office and claimed they heard gun shots and two vehicles drive off.
Another call came in reporting a man had been shot in the incident and was at the Roaring River Baptist Church.
According to the victims in the case, they were sitting in a truck at the post office when Crosby drove up and started a fight. The victims reported hearing Crosby tell another person to "grab me the gun." When the victim shifted his vehicle into drive to leave the parking lot, he heard gun shots as he was driving away northbound on Highway 86. The driver had a laceration on his left arm from a bullet grazing him.
The report states Crosby used a .40 caliber Glock 23 to fire four rounds at the victims.
Crosby is currently being held in the Barry County Jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash-only bond. He is charged with two counts of assault in the first degree, two counts of armed criminal action and one count of unlawful use of a weapon.
