Exeter driver injured after rear ending second vehicle in Wheaton

An Exeter man was injured after a rear ending crash outside of Wheaton on Highway 86 on Monday evening, January 27. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Wesley A. Kissinger, 26, of Exeter, struck a second vehicle in the rear around 6:55 p.m.

Kissinger was driving a 2013 Ford Explorer southbound on Highway 86 in Wheaton. The vehicle that was rear ended was a 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by Jeffrey K. Haselden, 37, of Fairview.

Kissinger suffered moderate injuries and was transported from the scene to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Haselden had no reported injuries at the scene.

Both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash. There were no other parties reported to be in the vehicles at the time.

The Explorer was totalled and towed from the scene by Brice's Towing, of Cassville. The Avalanche sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
