Exeter teen killed in dirt bike wreck

     An Exeter teen was killed in a dirt bike collision on Sunday afternoon. Both Dalton T. Horn, 18, of Exeter, and the driver of the other dirt bike, Alex W. Brannum, 29, of Russelville, Ala., died as a result of the crash.
     According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Horn, driving a 2004 Yamaha WR250, and Brannum, driving a 1996 Yamaha YZ250 H1 collided while driving on Layton Hollow Road, four miles south of Rocky Comfort. The crash happened around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 2.
     Both Horn and Brannum were airlifted to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. Dr. Buchele pronounced Horn deceased at 2:09 p.m. and Brannum deceased at 4:23 p.m.
     Horn was an Exeter class of 2017 graduate.    
     These were Troop D’s 49th and 50th facilities in 2017. Neither were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
