Fatal Hit and Run on Farm Road 1180

An Aurora man was killed in a crash west of Jenkins last Wednesday at 10:24 a.m.
According to a crash report by the Missouri Highway Patrol, Patrick Anderson, 38, of Aurora was eastbound on Farm Road 1180, three and a half miles west of Jenkins in a 2021 Kawasaki ZX10R, when a northbound 2001 Chevrolet 2500 failed to yield to Anderson, causing a fatal collision. Anderson was pronounced deceased on scene by Barry County Coroner Gary Swearingen at 1:30 p.m.
Anderson was transported by the Barry County Coroner to Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
The driver of the 2001 Chevrolet fled the scene with information still unknown. Anderson was wearing a safety device at the time of the incident.
