January 11, 2017
Charlea Estes

A stranded vehicle on Farm Road 1130 resulted in an injury crash five miles outside of Monett. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, four people in the vehicle were injured and taken for medical treatment.
According to the Patrol report, Joshua A. Grose, 32, of Verona, was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus southbound on Farm Road 1130 on Saturday, January 7, at 6 p.m. Grose swerved to avoid a car that was stranded in the roadway. Grose travelled off the roadway, struck a ditch and overturned.
Grose and three passengers were injured. Grose’s wife, Shea L. Grose, 23, of Verona, and two children were all injured.
Joshua and Shea suffered moderate injuries in the crash. Two children, ages 5 and 15, received minor injuries. All four were transported to Cox Hospital in Monett by private vehicle.
The only person wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash was the five year old child. The Taurus was totalled and towed from the scene by Thomas Towing, of Monett.
