The Barry County Health Department received an allotment of 100 Pfizer vaccines last week which were all administered Friday in a hastily organized drive-through vaccination clinic, according to administrator Roger Brock.
“We’re now taking the names of people interested in receiving our second allotment of vaccines,” Brock said.
Eligible recipients are in the Phase 1A and Phase 1B, Tier 1 and Tier 2 categories, which include high-risk individuals, and those age 65 and older.
“During Friday’s clinic, we first contacted first responders, but since we still had plenty of vaccines, we began calling other qualifying individuals who had expressed interest in receiving it,” Brock said.
Interested parties may call the health department at 417-847-2114 for more information or to have their name added to the waiting list.
