Historic tree removed from King’s Cemetery

On Thursday, December 12, the largest and reportedly one of the oldest trees in Barry County, the tree that stands in the center of King’s Cemetery, just outside of Seligman was removed slowly over a period of several days, with cranes, much like the one pictured above, being attached to limbs as they were being cut down to avoid damage to the surrounding headstones. The tree was removed by Bessman Tree Services, of Stella.
