Homer Sloan Buddy Bass Tourney slated for October 1

The 43rd annual Homer Sloan Buddy Bass Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 1, on Table Rock Lake, in Shell Knob.
The Homer Sloan Buddy Bass Tournament is the longest-running, continuously-held open bass tournament on Table Rock Lake. Started in 1980, the tourney is named for Homer Sloan, one of the original organizers.
The tournament is a successful fund raiser for the Shell Knob community and over the last several years, the event has been sponsored and organized by the Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce.
A staggered flight will begin at 7:30 a.m. from Campbell Point Marina, located at 1363 Campbell Point Road, in Shell Knob. Weigh-in will be at 4:00 p.m. at Campbell Point Marina, followed by dinner and drawings at the Chamber Park.
