Icy roads injure one in wreck

A Wheaton woman was injured in a crash Tuesday evening due to the icy conditions of the roads.
Claudea Nunez, 50, of Wheaton, was driving a 2006 Buick Rendezvous eastbound on Route B four miles west of Purdy Tuesday evening. Nunez traveled off the left side of the roadway and overturned because of the ice, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
Nunez was taken by ambulance to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin for moderate injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
