Jersey’s, located at Hilltop on MO-112, is holding a memorial concert featuring the Bo Phillips Band on Friday night, August 21, to benefit the local chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse.
Jersey’s manager Stephanie Annecharico said that the concert was planned as a memorial for Mickey Austin, who died in a motorcycle wreck last year.
She said, “Mickey and his family are all good friends, and this is in memory of him. He was a big supporter for BACA, so we thought it would be a good way to remember him.”
Mickey, 60, lived in Cassville and passed away on July 26, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. He was married to his wife, Terri, for 37 years. In Mickey’s obituary, it said that he went out doing what he loved best: being out on the open road.
The Bo Phillips Band will play at 8 p.m. on Friday night outside of Jersey’s Sports Bar and Grill. The Bo Phillips Band is from Stillwater, Okla., and has a number of hits, including “Red Dirt Girl.”
Annecharico said that the beer garden will be open, and there will be food specials as well as the full menu available. Half of the proceeds from the door will be donated to the Seven Valleys Chapter of Bikers Against Child Abuse.
