Joplin man airlifted after motorcycle crash

A Joplin man was seriously injured in a motorcycle crash six and a half miles west of Cape Fair on Saturday afternoon. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the driver lost control on loose gravel and overturned.
John D. Cruzan, 53, of Joplin, was driving a 2009 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on Missouri 76 on Saturday, March 10. Cruzan lost control of the motorcycle around 4:30 p.m. and overturned.
Cruzan was seriously injured and airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for serious injuries. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene by Table Rock Auto Clinic.
