Kids are all smiles at areas schools’ first days

Wheaton’s first day of school was a family affair for this group. Pictured, kindergartner Madelyn Stover, 5, gets ready to walk into elementary school on Tuesday, August 13, with her dad Jimmie Stover and her sister, Jemma Stover, four months.

Evan Moore, 8, and older sister Leanna Moore, 13, bound the stairs for their first day of school at Purdy.

On the morning of Tuesday, August 13, Purdy School District central office secretary Marsha Williams heads into the first day of the year with her grandson, Cyris Williams, 10, who began his first day of fifth grade.
