Lawrence County COVID-19 cases rise to 105, multiple locations visited by positive individuals

The Lawrence County Health Department announces 36 new cases of COVID-19.
We are sorry to announce our second death in Lawrence County. Our thoughts are with the family.
We currently stand at 105 total cases: 63 active, 40 recovered, two deaths.
Fifteen cases are linked to Lacoba Nursing Center in Monett. All positive cases have been told to isolate at home away from others. Their close contacts have been told to quarantine for 14 days.
Some of the positive cases visited the following locations:
• Crown Power Equipment, July 6th, 9 or 10 a.m. (no mask)
• Freedom Christian Center, July 6th, p.m. service
• Walmart (Aurora), July 9th, 10 - 11 a.m. (no mask); July 10th, 3 p.m. (masked); July 11th, 12 - 12:15 p.m. (no mask)
• Flat Creek Resort (Republic), July 9th, 12 p.m. (no mask)
• Dollar General (Aurora), July 9th, 6 - 6:30 p.m. (masked)
• El Azteca (Mt. Vernon), July 10th, 6:30 or 7 p.m. (no mask)
• Walmart (Monett), July 11th, 6:30 p.m. (no mask)
• Walmart (Mt. Vernon), July 12th, 2:30 p.m. (no mask)
• Dollar General (Monett), July 12th, 1:45 - 2 p.m. (masked)
• Casey's (806 Elliott, Aurora), 6:30 p.m. (no mask)
• Kum and Go (Monett), July 8th, 9th, 10th, 6:30 a.m. (no mask), July 10th, 11th, 12th, 7:30 or 8 p.m. (masked)
• Casey's (Pierce City), July 12th, 13th, 7:30 or 8 a.m. (masked)
• Tonto's Liquor (Pierce City) 9 p.m. (no mask)

Symptoms may appear 2 -14 days after exposure to the virus. People with the following symptoms may have COVID-19:
Fever or chills; cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing; fatigue; muscle or body aches; headache; new loss of taste or smell; sore throat, congestion or runny nose; nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
