Letter to the Editor: Thank you E911 and others
April 10, 2019
Dear editor and citizens of Barry County,
I am very thankful for the bright young talent we are beginning to see move into the spotlight of our county’s and country’s government.
I would like to personally thank Cameron Koehler, of E911 mapping and addressing, and Todd Cole, our postmaster, and not-so-young Kevin Meikely.
I live on a county road in southwest Barry County. It has been a public road since before a lot of us were born. It’s the road used to survey roads in the adjacent subdivision.
Prior to this, the previous 911 mapping employee decided this road was only a driveway. Ha. Anyone can see the road has always been maintained by the road district. This road is around a 40 degree slope and without it, our Exeter road district maintenance, ambulance or any other vehicle could not get here. Thanks, Kevin M.
Without Todd Cole’s help, we would still be having to get our mail from the bottom of this hill. We have had incidents of mail theft. Thanks, Todd C.
And without the dedication and integrity that we, as citizens, should be proud of. I would like to say an especially big thank you to Cameron Koehler for taking the time to do the research and leg work to make it possible to get our road numbered and our boxes moved to our houses. Thank you, Cameron K.
