Dear Editor,
We own some apartments at the edge of town, in the county. We have had several problems with homeless people going in our empty units and sleeping. We have tried keeping them out. Around 12 a.m., July 14, we got a call about a fire at our apartments. When my wife arrived, the Butterfield Fire Department was working hard to stop the fire. There were two city officers there, too. My wife was crying, and they went out of their way to help her calm down.
They were very respectful and professional. With both Butterfield and Cassville Fire Departments, they were able to put out the fire. They did an awesome job. My renters also talked very highly of the fire departments and the two city officers. I just want to say, “Thank you guys very much!” In a time when our country is in the shape it's in, it's nice to see such professionalism.
