Five local communities are preparing for their Fourth of July fireworks presentations. Shows this year will be hosted in Eagle Rock, Purdy, Seligman and Shell Knob, and all are free to attend
Cassville
The City of Cassville does not have a public fireworks display nor are fireworks allowed inside the city limits of Cassville at any time. Shooting fireworks in the city is against city ordinance.
Eagle Rock
Each year, the Eagle Rock fireworks display is hosted by the Eagle Rock-Golden-Mano Fire Department. This year’s show will be held the day before on Sunday, July 3, with their festivities beginning at 11 a.m.
Their famous BBQ begins at 11 a.m. with brisket and pulled pork sandwiches and all the trimmings. There will also be fun activities set up for families to enjoy. Meals will be served until 7 p.m.
The fireworks show will start at dusk at the Highway 86 bridge over Table Rock Lake. This year, the launch site has been moved up the hill below the Vikings Club, and due to the change, no parking will be available at the Viking Clubs’ parking lot. This year’s display is going to be bigger and better than years’ past.
The fireworks show is funded solely by donations each year. To make a contribution, contact the Eagle Rock-Golden-Mano Fire Department at Station One, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at (417) 271-3641. You can also mail your donation to the department at 30625 State Highway 86, Eagle Rock, MO 65641.
Purdy
Purdy’s fireworks show will be hosted by TRT Fireworks, the city’s local fireworks stand owned by Ken and Julie Terry. The free show will be on July 3 with fireworks beginning at 9 p.m. Other festivities will begin at 5 p.m. with music until the fireworks show starts. Bring a lawn chair.
Seligman
Seligman’s fireworks will be on Monday, July 4, with festivities beginning at dark. The Seligman Chamber of Commerce will have free hamburgers, hotdogs and drinks for those in attendance beginning at 7 p.m.
Fireworks will be allowed within city limits from week prior to and the week after the 4th of July until 10 p.m. each evening with the exception until midnight on the Fourth of July.
Shell Knob
Shell Knob will have a fireworks display and boat show on Monday, July 4.
Washburn
Washburn has not released any information about an official fireworks show in the city. However, fireworks will be allowed within the city limits on July 3 and 4 from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. each day.
