Locations visited by 12th Covid-19 case

June 13, 2020
Sheila Harris

The Barry County Health Department reported the twelfth confirmed case of COVID-19 in Barry County.
Administrator Roger Brock announced, “out of an abundance of caution, we are releasing a list of locations a
COVID-19 positive individual has visited in Barry County.”

The individual is in isolation and close contacts are being notified to quarantine.
The Barry County Health Department is notifying the public of these potential exposures from a COVID-19
positive individual.

   A recent positive case attended:
•  06/10 Walmart in Cassville from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.

•  06/11 A & J Sporting Goods in Cassville from 9:30 a.m. to 10:10 a.m.

•  06/11 Uncle Roy's in Eagle Rock from 12:00 p.m. to 12:30 p.m.

People visiting these locations on these dates, who did not have close contact, are at low risk of contracting
COVID-19, but should monitor for symptoms.

COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough, shortness of breath, or at least two of the following: fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.

Symptoms may begin two days to two weeks after exposure.
There is no need for self-quarantine or isolation unless symptoms develop.
Anyone who develops symptoms should call their primary care provider or the Barry County Health Department at 417-847-2114.

"This is an important reminder that even though we are reopening Barry County,
COVID-19 is still present in our community and we must take all possible precautions. When we go out, we
should practice physical distancing, wear a cloth face covering, and wash our hands often," Brock said.
