Longtime Cassville attorney Jim LeCompte passes away

Well-known local attorney Jim LeCompte passed away on Sunday, December 15, and funeral services are planned for Thursday, December 19.
LeCompte graduated from Cassville High School in 1969 before going to the University of Missouri - Columbia for his bachelor’s degree and eventually the University of Arkansas School of Law.
He opened up his law practice in Cassville, which he operated for 40 years up until his death.
LeCompte was a lifetime member of the Cassville United Methodist Church and also devoted time to his family through the Barry County Tax Board for the Developmentally Disabled.
LeCompte is survived by his wife, Gayle Ann LeCompte, and his three children, Danielle LeCompte, Gabrielle LeCompte and Wil LeCompte.
Businesses in Cassville are asked to close their doors or dim their lights from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. during the funeral service as a sign of respect.
