The Lieutenant Governor will be making a stop in Cassville next week as part of his Passport Challenge and community flapjack feeds across the state on Tuesday, July 23. Roaring River State Park will be the next stop on Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe's camping challenge that encourages tourism and camping in Missouri State Parks. Kehoe also uses the stops to cook pancakes to serve to locals to talk about issues.
Roaring River State Park natural resources manager Joel Topham said, "It's a free event for everybody. He'll be camping with us, and the pancake feed will be on July 23 from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Campground 1 on site 54."
Kehoe's flapjack tour is a multi-stop community pancake feed across the state so he can, "meet with Missourians and serve them some good ole' pancakes," according to the website where his event schedule is posted: https://kehoetour.com/.
Using Roaring River as the stop for his next flapjack event is no surprise given his office unveiled a camping passport challenge to encourage tourism in Missouri State Parks. Missourians who participate are encouraged to try to visit and camp at as many or more state parks than Kehoe during the contest period. Kehoe's stops are posted on his Twitter account.
The contest began May 30, 2019, and runs through October 31, 2019. Digital passports are available through the main website about the challenge, and each of the 41 Missouri State Parks listed on the passport will have a unique stamp to mark passport's with.

Those who meet or exceed Kehoe's totals will receive a free t-shirt, and three winners will be chosen for a grand prize, second place price and third place prize. Winners will be announced on November 6.
