According to Mike Clifton, owner of Mike’s Auto Care, eight vehicles were broken into at his place of business, located at the corner of Farm Road 2160 and Highway 37, north of Cassville, Friday night, May 28.
Security camera footage showed a figure in a blue hoodie and black pants coming across Highway 37 toward his business from the Crowder College area. The individual then rummaged through unlocked cars with a flashlight from about 10:10 - 10:34 p.m. No damage was done to the vehicles, and the items stolen remain largely unknown, Clifton said.
Clifton was alerted to the theft when a client sent Clifton a picture of the inside of their car Saturday morning, saying “it looked ransacked.”
Clifton plans to place more cameras and a security light onto the property.
