Body of missing Eagle Rock woman found

In a tragic turn of events, the body of a woman who went missing from her home in Elmo's subdivision in the Eagle Rock area in February was found after weeks of searching. According to a press release by the Barry County Sheriff's Department, Angelia Burns, of Eagle Rock, was last seen walking away from her home on February 10, and her body was recovered from Table Rock Lake over the weekend.
The Barry County Sheriff's Department initially posted on its Facebook page that Burns was considered a missing person on February 20. Burns' belongings, including her cell phone and cash, were found on the bank of Table Rock Lake the same day she was last seen. The case was investigated as a missing person incident by the sheriff's department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
According to the release, Burns' body was recovered from Table Rock Lake about half a mile from where her belongings were found on Sunday, March 3.
An initial autopsy on Monday evening, March 4, did not indicate any evidence on foul play in Burns' death.
