Monett man allegedly ran second vehicle off of road

A Monett man is facing multiple charges after allegedly trying to hit another vehicle while his pregnant girlfriend was in the car. Tyler Tuell, 22, of Monett, is charged with felony assault in the second degree, misdemeanor assault in the fourth degree and misdemeanor property damage in the second degree.
According to affidavits of probable cause by Monett Police Department officer Chris Miller, Tuell was driving a vehicle on February 18 in Monett. Tuell allegedly tried to hit another vehicle deliberately. Officers reported Tuell’s pregnant girlfriend was in the vehicle while he tried to hit the other vehicle, putting her at a substantial risk for injury.
During the incident, officers reported Tuell damaged a street sign by forcing the victim’s vehicle off the road.
Tuell is currently held in the Barry County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 cash-only bond.
