Monett man arrested for metal knuckles attack

A Monett man was taken into custody for allegedly attacking a man he resides with. According to the affidavits of probable cause, Sheldon Laroy Howard, 51, attacked the victim after an argument at a residence on Maple Street.
Officers reported they were called to the residence on Maple Street on Saturday, June 30. The victim, who shared the residence with Howard, was injured when Howard stabbed him in the hand with spikes fastened to metal knuckles during an argument.
Howard has been charged with domestic assault in the second degree and armed criminal action. He is currently being held in the Barry County Jail in lieu of a $40,000 cash-only bond.
