Minutes later, another 911 call was made at 6:04 p.m. The call was for a woman reported to be deceased at 104 E. Bond Street. After police arrived to the scene, they found Tosha Norris, 25, dead on a bed covered with blankets.

The second 911 call was made by a Alexander Jr. Calhoun, 35, of Monett, who claims to have been in a long-term relationship with Norris. During the investigation, the police learned that Calhoun was wanted on an outstanding felony warrant for domestic violence.
Police also discovered that both Smith and Norris had been with Calhoun on the same day their bodies were found. Calhoun was arrested for his active domestic violence warrant.
The investigation is still ongoing. Deputy Barry County Coroner Charlie McManus ordered autopsies for both victims, and the medical examiner found no conclusive evidence to determine the cause of death for either woman. According to the press release, blood from each victim will be submitted to toxicology.
With further investigation, Monett Police Chief Tim Schweder revealed that Calhoun had purchased methamphetamine on Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20. Calhoun and both victims used the drug on Friday night and Saturday morning. Allegedly, Calhoun said that Norris had a strong reaction from the methamphetamine on Saturday morning at 104 East Bond Street. According to the press release, Calhoun left Norris there and went to Smith’s house.
Schweder said that between 5:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., Calhoun and Smith used more methamphetamine. Calhoun supposedly said that Smith had a strong reaction, as well. Calhoun said when he left Smith’s house, she was laying on the kitchen floor.
A few hours later, Calhoun returned to the house on Bond Street to find Norris dead.
On June 23, charges were submitted by the Monett Police Department against Calhoun to Amy Boxx, the Barry County Prosecuting Attorney.
The department is seeking class A felony, murder in the second degree and class B felony delivery of a controlled substance charges against Calhoun. As of time of press, Boxx had not filed official charges.
