Monett man killed in motorcycle crash on MO 97

A Monett man was killed in a single vehicle motorcycle crash outside of Yonkerville last week. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, Gregory S. Klein, 54, was killed after being ejected from his motorcycle.
Klein was driving a 1996 Honda Shadow motorcycle southbound on Missouri 97 about two miles south of Yonkerville when he crash. The patrol responded to the scene around 4:13 p.m. on Thursday, April 11.
Troopers say the motorcycle went off the right side of the roadway, hit a sign, continued and hit an embankment. Klein was ejected from the bike.
Klein was pronounced deceased by Dr. Greg Kutter on the scene at 4:30 p.m. Klein was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
This was Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D’s 24th fatality of 2019. The next of kin were notified.
