Monett woman faces DWI charges after crash injures two minors

The Highway Patrol is seeking DWI charges against a driver who allegedly crashed a car, injuring herself and two minor children, while intoxicated. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrest report, they are seeking charges of felony driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended/revoked, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, failure to maintain financial responsibility, displaying plates of a another, failure to wear a seat belt and failure to drive within the right lane against Teresa L. White, 37, of Monett.
The crash occurred around 4:20 p.m. on Sunday, January 19. White was driving a 2008 Ford Fusion southbound on Farm Road 1040. White's vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and struck a brush pile about five miles south of Monett.
White and two minor children, ages one and three, suffered minor injuries in the crash. The two children were wearing safety devices of some type, but White was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The two children were transported to Cox Monett by private vehicle for treatment. White was transported to Cox Monett by ambulance.
The Fusion was totalled and towed from the scene by Thomas Towing, of Monett.
While charges are being requested against White for the traffic-related offenses, no charges have been formally filed by the Barry County Prosecutor's office.
