Moore places fourth in MO FFA Creed speaking competition

May 2, 2018
Laney Moore, of the Southwest FFA Chapter, placed fourth in the FFA Creed speaking leadership development event at the 90th Missouri FFA Convention.
Sixteen individuals from six districts were selected to compete at the state level. Moore’s advisers are Rachael Brown and Bill Caldwell.
The competition requires contestants to recite the FFA Creed. Speakers then answer a series of questions based on their interpretation of the creed. A panel of judges determines each participant’s score. Participating FFA members gain self-confidence, sharpen their ability to think quickly and hone presentation skills. MFA Inc. sponsors the event.
The Missouri FFA has 25,375 members representing 343 chapters. The national organization has more than 653,000 members representing 8,568 chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
The FFA makes a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.
