More COVID patients in isolation, hospitalized, no additional deaths

According to the January 12 COVID-19 situational update from the Barry County Health Department and Office of Emergency Management, the total confirmed cases in the county have reached 2,671, an increase of 145 since last week.
No additional deaths were reported.
Of the confirmed cases, 2,449 have recovered, ten patients are currently hospitalized, over 300 people are in quarantine and 177 patients are isolated with active cases. The number of active cases is up 40 from a week ago.
The county’s overall positivity rate from the time testing and recording began is at 14.61 percent. However, the positivity rate for last week’s reporting period is at 21.8 percent. Of 663 tests administered since the January 5 report, 145 cases have been confirmed positive. This number reflects a slight decrease from the weekly percentage of each of the past two weeks.
